Enter Grades

Introduction

After creating an exam, you can record grades for your pupils. Grade entry is done directly in the grade table of the respective lesson.

Prerequisites

Before you can enter grades, an exam must be created. If no exam exists yet, follow the guide Create Exam.

Enter Grades

To enter grades, proceed as follows:

  1. Navigate to the "Grade Management" module.
  2. Open the desired lesson via "Open Lesson".
  3. Click on the cell of the pupil in the corresponding exam column in the grade table.
  4. Enter the grade.
  5. The grade is automatically saved.

Understanding the Grade Table

Table Structure

Grade Values

Depending on the configured grading system, you can enter the following values:

Note

The grading system used is set by the school administration per year group. For more information, see Grading System Configuration.

Add Comments

You can add a comment to any grade to document additional information:

  1. Click on an already entered grade.
  2. Select "Open Grade" in the popup that appears.
  3. Click "Edit".
  4. Enter your comment in the "Comment" field.
  5. Click "Save".

Enter Multiple Grades Quickly

For efficient entry of multiple grades:

  1. Click on the first cell and enter the grade.
  2. Use the Tab key to move to the next cell in the row.
  3. Use the Enter key to move to the next cell in the column.

Missing Grades

If a pupil did not participate in an exam (e.g., due to illness), leave the cell empty or enter an appropriate note. Empty cells are not included in the average calculation.

Caution

Make sure to document missing grades correctly. Depending on school regulations, missing assessments may be handled differently.

Automatic Calculation

After entering grades, the averages are automatically calculated:

The weighting of individual grades is set when creating the exam and is factored into the average calculation.
