Absence Management with edjufy

Introduction

Fundamentally, edjufy distinguishes between the following two types of information throughout the entire absence management process:

  • Absences
  • Excuses

An Absence is the information "The pupil is not present".
An Excuse, on the other hand, "justifies" an absence.

The interplay between Absences and Excuses forms the absence process in edjufy.

edjufy guides you through the process so that every Absence has an associated Excuse or the absence is marked as Unexcused.

Data Sources / Origin

For both Absences and Excuses, they can be recorded from various sources in the system.

Excuses:

  • Legal Guardians (edjufy Online Excuse)
  • Office staff, e.g., phone calls, etc. (Recording View)

Absences:

  • Teachers during lessons (Digital Class Register)
  • Teachers during lessons (Recording View - if the school does not yet use the digital class register)
  • Office staff using the Pupil Messenger Service (Recording View)
  • etc.

Automatic Matching

edjufy automatically compares all existing Absences with all existing Excuses and presents the information so that you only need to process the discrepancies.

The linking of Absences and Excuses occurs fully automatically.

Nevertheless, you can gain insight into the details of all records at any time.
