Create Exam

Introduction

Before you can record grades for your pupils, you must first create an exam. An exam can be a written test, a quiz, an oral grade, or another type of assessment.

Create Exam

To create a new exam, proceed as follows:

  1. Navigate to the "Grade Management" module.
  2. Open the desired lesson via "Open Lesson".
  3. Click the green "Create Exam" button.
  4. Fill out the form (see below).
  5. Click "Create Exam" to create the exam.

Note

The publication date determines when grades become visible to pupils and legal guardians (if grade viewing is enabled). Until this date, grades are only visible to teachers.

Note

The available grade areas and grade types are configured by the school administration. For more information, see Grade Areas Configuration.

Optional Settings

Calendar Entry

Enable the option "Create calendar entry for exam?" to automatically create an entry in the school calendar. This is useful for informing pupils and parents about upcoming exams.

Enter Grades Directly

Enable the option "Enter grades for exam?" to go directly to grade entry after creating the exam.

After Creation

After creating the exam, a new column appears in the grade table under the corresponding grade area. You can now enter grades for the pupils.
