Manage Grades by Pupil

Introduction

The "By Pupil" view shows all grades of an individual pupil across all subjects. This overview is particularly useful for parent conferences, report card meetings, or to quickly assess a pupil's performance.

Navigate to Pupil Overview

To view a pupil's grades, proceed as follows:

1. Navigate to the "Grade Management" module.
2. Select the "By Pupil" tab.
3. Choose between "Classes" and "Courses".
4. Click on the desired class or course.
5. A list of all pupils appears.
6. Click "Open Grades for Pupil" for the desired pupil.

Filter Pupils by Subject

If you only want to see pupils that you teach in a specific subject:

1. After selecting the class, select the corresponding subject from the filter tabs.
2. The list now only shows pupils that you teach in this subject.

Available filters:

• All Pupils - Shows all pupils in the class
• [Subject Name] - Shows only pupils of the selected subject

The Pupil Grade Overview

After opening the grades for a pupil, you will see a comprehensive overview:

Header Area

Element	Description
Pupil Name	Name of the selected pupil
Back to Overview	Link back to the pupil list
Filter: Lesson	Dropdown to filter by individual subjects

Grades by Lesson

The table shows all grades of the pupil, grouped by lesson:

Column	Description
Lesson	Name of the subject with class designation
Major Assessment	Grades from major assessments (exams, etc.)
Avg	Average of major assessments
Minor Assessment	Grades from minor assessments (quizzes, oral, etc.)
Avg	Average of minor assessments
Final Grades	Semester and year-end grades

Note

Lessons marked as "Composite Subject" combine multiple subjects. Grades are displayed there in aggregate.

Pupil's Exams

Below the grade overview, you will find a detailed list of all the pupil's exams:

Column	Description
Lesson	Subject and class
Exam Title	Name of the exam
Exam Date	When the exam took place
Grade Area	Category (e.g., Major Assessment)
Grade Type	Type (e.g., Exam)
Grade Weighting	Weighting factor
View	Link to the exam details

Filter by Lesson

To display only the grades of a specific subject:

1. Open the pupil grade overview.
2. Select the desired subject in the "Lesson" dropdown.
3. The table now only shows grades of the selected subject.

Select "All Lessons" to display all subjects again.

View Exam Details

To see details of an individual exam:

1. Click "View" in the exam list.
2. You will be taken to the detail view of the exam.

Parent Conferences

The pupil grade overview is ideal for parent conferences:

• All grades at a glance
• Averages per subject and area

Report Card Meetings

For report card meetings, the view offers:

• Quick access to all final grades
• Overview of semester and annual performance
• Detailed exam list for traceability

For analysing a pupil's performance:

• Comparison of performance across different subjects
• Identifying strengths and weaknesses
• Tracking grade development

Note

From the pupil grade overview, you cannot directly edit grades. To change grades, open the corresponding lesson via "My Lessons".
