Grade Value Types
Default Grade Value Type
Select the default grading system for your school:
| Grading System | Value Range | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Simple (1-6) | Grades from 1 to 6 | Traditional German grading system for lower secondary level |
| Extended (0-15) | Points from 0 to 15 | Upper secondary point system for senior secondary level |
Year Groups with Grade Value Type "Simple"
Select all year groups that should use the simple grading system (1-6). These are typically the lower secondary classes (e.g., year groups 5-10).
Year Groups with Grade Value Type "Extended"
Select all year groups that should use the extended point system (0-15). These are typically the upper secondary classes (e.g., year groups 11-13 or Q1-Q4).
Each year group can only be assigned to one grading system. Make sure that no year group is included in both lists.
Allow Overriding Weighting per Grade / Exam
This setting determines whether teachers can adjust the preset weighting of individual grades or exams.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Yes | Teachers can adjust the weighting per individual grade |
| No | Weighting is determined exclusively via the grade areas |

If you have selected "Selected Year Groups", select the specific year groups here for which grade viewing should be enabled.
Default Days Until Publication
Define after how many days a grade automatically becomes visible to pupils and legal guardians. The default value is 14 days.
Teachers can also manually release grades for viewing before this period expires.
When configuring grade viewing, please observe the data protection regulations of your school as well as the applicable state regulations.
