School Subjects Configuration

Introduction

The school subjects configuration allows you to manage the subjects taught at your school. Here you can create new school subjects, edit existing ones, or delete subjects that are no longer needed.

Overview

The overview shows all configured school subjects in a table with the following columns:

WebUntis Sync NameAn alternative name for synchronization with WebUntis
ASV Subject KeyThe subject key from the ASV subject value list
EditButton to edit the school subject
DeleteButton to delete the school subject
Note on Visibility
  • The WebUntis Sync Name column is only visible when WebUntis synchronization is enabled for your school.
  • The ASV Subject Key column is only visible when the Grade Management module is enabled for your school.

Add School Subject

To add a new school subject, proceed as follows:

  1. Navigate to SettingsSchool Subjects.
  2. Click the + Add School Subject button.
  3. Fill out the displayed form.
  4. Click Save when finished.

Form Fields

FieldDescription
NameThe name of the school subject. This field is required.
WebUntis Sync NameEnter an alternative name for WebUntis sync. This field is optional.
ASV Subject KeyEnter the subject key from the ASV subject value list here. This field is optional.
Note on Visibility
  • The WebUntis Sync Name field is only visible when WebUntis synchronization is enabled for your school.
  • The ASV Subject Key field is only visible when the Grade Management module is enabled for your school.

Edit School Subject

To edit an existing school subject, proceed as follows:

  1. Navigate to SettingsSchool Subjects.
  2. Click Edit in the row of the desired school subject.
  3. Make the desired changes in the form.
  4. Click Save when finished.

Delete School Subject

To delete a school subject, click Delete in the row of the corresponding subject and confirm the deletion.

Warning

Deleting a school subject may affect existing timetables, lesson log entries, and other areas where the subject is used. Make sure the subject is no longer needed before deleting it.
