Manage Disciplinary Types
Introduction
Disciplinary types define the categories for disciplinary records at your school. These can be individually configured by the school administration to reflect the needs of your school.
Managing disciplinary types requires administrative rights.
Access Disciplinary Types
To manage disciplinary types, proceed as follows:
- Navigate to Settings (gear icon).
- Select the Disciplinary Types tab.
You will now see the list of all configured disciplinary types.
Add New Disciplinary Type
To add a new disciplinary type, proceed as follows:
- Navigate to Settings → Disciplinary Types.
- Click the Add Disciplinary Type button.
- Enter the name of the new type.
- Click Save.
The new disciplinary type is immediately available when creating disciplinary records.
Delete Disciplinary Type
To delete a disciplinary type, proceed as follows:
- Navigate to Settings → Disciplinary Types.
- Click Delete in the row of the type to be deleted.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a disciplinary type is only possible if it is no longer used in existing entries. Otherwise, you must first adjust or delete the affected entries.
Default Disciplinary Types
edjufy provides the following disciplinary types by default:

| Damage to School Materials | Damage to school property |
| Missing Work Materials | Pupil does not have necessary materials |
| Phone Usage | Unauthorised use of mobile phone |
| Pupil Observation | General observation about pupil behaviour |
| Inappropriate Behaviour | Behaviour that does not comply with school rules |
| Class Disruption | Disruption of the lesson |
| Interference with Others' Property | Damage or theft of others' property |
These types can be supplemented or deleted as needed.
Recommendations
- Consistent naming: Use clear and understandable names for your disciplinary types.
- Not too many types: Limit yourself to the most important categories to maintain clarity.
- School-wide coordination: Coordinate the types with the staff so that all teachers use the same categories.
